This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
First of all, thank you for the comments and +Fav.
Secondly, concerning your desire for a push in the right direction, I think you're heading in a great direction as it is. I'd suggest keeping background objects in mind [so they distract from the main subject? do they just make the photo look cluttered? etc], and also putting into considering how to make the whole frame work... sometimes, you'll get the best idea, or the best pose, and so on, and when you get to photograph it... you'll see that sometimes the frame could have been pushed a little in order to really emphasize what you wanted to show [for example... [link] could have been really well emphasized if you were able to angle it so that the bush/tree in the background wasn't showing... now i'm not sure how possible it would be to do that, seeing as I wasn't there, but I'm just giving an example of what I meant].
Another suggestion would be the 'missing foot syndrome' [as I sometimes call it]. I understand that sometimes the background gets in the way and you'd need to cut off parts of the person's body in the photo in order to get rid of the stuff in the background. But if the entire person's body is showing... except for that one foot, it kinda leaves the viewer feeling like there isn't a sense of wholeness to the subject...
I dunno, just a few things to keep in mind. I was hesitating to give any constructive criticism because last time I did, you sounded like you wanted to politely rip my head off o.o;;
But anyhow, you're on the right path as it is. Just keep practicing and experimenting...
They really made my day!
Do you mind if I add you on livejournal?
